Project intermediate checkpoint

Requirements

The intermediate checkpoint submission will have the following elements:

  • A quarto document docs/project-intermediate.qmd and corresponding HTML file inthe same folder
  • A commit message of “intermediate-checkpoint”

Now that you’ve had a few weeks to play around with your data and reflect on the questions you initially proposed, the intermediate checkpoint should be a document highlighting

  1. Possibly updated questions that you’d like to answer now that you have evaluated your data and have an understanding whether your data and questions are in sync. Modifying your project questions to meet what the available data can support is a common step as we progress through the initial stages of a project. This is not a necessary step but can happen. At this stage, these questions should be set and what you will answer for your final submission.
  2. Exploratory analyses (EDA) to show that the data can support and answer these final questions. We’re not expecting modeling, inference or interpretation at this stage, but the EDA should show that the data and questions are in sync.
